Why Solid Surface Wall Kits?

Step 1: Measure Your Alcove
Use a tape measure to record three dimensions:
- Width — measure at the top, middle, and bottom; use the smallest number.
- Height — measure from the top of your shower base or tub deck to where you want the panels to end.
- Depth — measure front to back for corner or neo-angle configurations.
Standard alcoves are 60 in. wide × 32 in. deep, but always verify yours before ordering. Remember Alcove Showers are sold in Rough-in Size.
Step 2: Account for Your Shower Base

Step 3: Choose the Right Wall Kit

Step 4: Prepare the Wall Surface
- Remove existing tile or wallboard down to the studs, or verify the existing substrate is flat and moisture-resistant (cement board or waterproof drywall).
- Fill any gaps or low spots; panels require a flat surface within 1/8 in.
- Mark stud locations for screw attachment points.
Step 5: Dry-Fit Before Gluing
Always dry-fit all panels before applying adhesive. This lets you mark any cutouts needed for plumbing fixtures and confirm alignment. Most kits include a three-panel system: back wall and two side walls.
Step 6: Apply Adhesive and Set Panels
Use a panel adhesive recommended by the manufacturer (typically a construction adhesive). Apply in vertical beads every 12 in., press the panel firmly, and brace it while the adhesive cures. Follow the manufacturer's cure time before exposing to water.
Step 7: Seal the Seams
Apply color-matched caulk to all inside corners and along the tub deck or shower base flange. This is the most critical waterproofing step—take your time here.
